    he old Church was built in the mid 11th century or later and was dedicated to St Giles. It is built within the earthworks of a Norman motte and bailey castle. Later it was re-dedicated to St Mary. The old church gradually became dilapidated, though its roof was still intact as late as the 1890s. It is in the guardianship of English Heritage.

    Rotherwas Chapel is a family chapel near Hereford, Herefordshire, England and maintained by English Heritage.

    It once belonging to the Bodenham family. The chapel contains structures from medieval, Elizabethan, Georgian and Victorian periods. The originally simple medieval building has a fine Elizabethan timber roof, a rebuilt 18th century tower, and striking Victorian interior decoration with furnishings by the Pugins.
